This course comprises four parts. It begins with tracing the global journey of a t-shirt during its production to comprehend the intricacies of supply chains. We then explore the history of globalization. Following this, we delve into predominant trade theories, centering our discussion on pivotal questions: Why do countries open to trade? What are the gains and distributional consequences of trade on a global and national scale? We conclude by discussing significant trade-related subjects: the role of trade policy, the influence of trade on economic growth, and its potential environmental effects.
